history.
cisco's
drone started out a three piece, playing for some time, experimenting
with different names and lineup including second guitarists and vocalists,
but
with no success, leaving chis, tim and peel slightly stuck for full
on rocking
until.......
on may 1st, whilst sorting out a PA for a band playing at his party,
harry rhodes
noticed an interesting looking ad in trad music, Wakefield, 'Band Seeks
Bassist'.
Well feeling rather spontaneous, Harry took down this notice intent
on joining
a band, after having found success in previous band "electric dado
rail", but with
members attending university harry was left band-less. after ringing
on that very
day and speaking to a rather pissed vocalist and laid back guitarist,
it wasn't
long until they had their first practice together at tim's house. The
practice
proved fun and ensured harry's place in the band, and with a gig already
lined up
the band began hurriedly chosing a new set list. not long after the
first gig
the band played a second supporting peel's older brother's band,
"the frank boof experience", to a warm reception.
the
band continue to write, and experiment with different elements of musical
style
and inspiration whilst increasing their ever growing set list.
a
name.
to
be honest, the name cisco's drone doesn't really mean anything. the
story goes that
it evolved from a live "led zeppelin" track, name "l.a.
drone", how, I have got no idea,
but it still rocks.
the
band.
the
band consists of four strapping young lads from t'old moores of yorkshire.
kris
saunders as our vocalist/lyricist, front man and web designer
tom peel rocks out on the six string, as well as being a rather
competent and collaborative song-writer
tim 'jr' bradshaw tub thumps 24/7, that is if he hasn't got his tongue
in his
g/f's ear.
harry 'wee one' rhodes slaps, pops, and generally does everything and
anything
bass, with occasional backing vocals
any
artwork will be designed and co-ordinated by kris and harry
cisco's
drone are available for birthdays, parties, bar mitzvahs, circumcisions....
you name it
